| Hey... Soooo... This is my personal website....
My name is Kira Rienecker. I'm a Junior and I, as all the other websites have stated, have made this website in Mr. Savage's multimedia class...
I'm pretty sure you know how to work websites (I mean, here you are), so I am NOT going to explain how this works. If you get lost, too bad for you. Hopefully it won't be one of the most devastating experiences of your life. If it is, you have it pretty easy, don't you... Unfortunately, getting lost in a website is more devastating to people in our society than it should be. I mean, other countries (and even people in this country) have way bigger problems all the time and if the low point of their day were getting lost in a website (of course, this is theoretical because many areas of the world don't have access to the internet, let alone computers), then they would count it as a pretty good day. So while we are getting lost in websites because we're too lazy to figure it out, we say "oh, thats too bad" when we hear about their problems and then promptly forget about it. We don't have very good long-term planning skills either. We assume that we will have the ability and resources to fix it later... what matters to us is immediate satisfaction. You know, there is this test that scientists and pychologists can use to determine whether you will have good long term planning skills or whether you will go for immediate satisfaction later in life. They set out a marshmallow and tell the kid they can have it now, or wait for a while and get two. Those that wait for two marshmallows will develop the skill of waiting. Sometimes you need to work for stuff for it to be worth it. When I was a kid there used to be these races on the 4th of July that I would compete in. Kids from age 2 to about 8 would race to get marshmallows and bring them back to their parents. I think the winner would get more marshmallows or something. My mom used to train me for these races.... Maybe that's why I like track so much. She would set out marshmallows on the front porch and have me practice sprinting out to get them and bringing them back without stopping to eat them. I usually won the races on the 4th. Yeah... I wonder if marshmallows are genetically modified... if they have any plant basis whatsoever and aren't simply a combination of chemicals. I probably should have tried to test that in Cell Bio...
Yeah... well that went off on a tangent.... Ok... look around, try not to get lost, and eat some peanut butter today. Unless you have an alergy. Then eat some cellery and wish you had peanut butter.
