LiveMotion Assignments
LiveMotion is the third Adobe program students worked with. During the year students were assigned lessons and assignments to help them perfect their LiveMotion skills. Lessons were teacher directed in order to gain new skills and assignments were more free form allowing students to expand on those skills.
Rocket Animation Assignment
The Rocket Animation Assignment is the first LiveMotion assignment. Students are tasked with creating an animation of a rocket using images found on the web and elsewhere. They practice creating objects to animate, rotating objects and scaling objects.
Animation Assignment
Students are given free reign with the LiveMotion program in this assignment. It is meant to allow students to practice skills learned in previous lessons and assignments. No two animation assignments are the same. The only guidelines are the animation must be minimum 25 seconds, have at least three objects, include sound and have text that changes color.
Rollover Animation Assignment
For this assignment, students are introduced to rollovers. The animation is triggered by a button. Students practice creating movie clip groups, animating a rollover button in different states and building masked groups.

To see the animation, click on the skateboard button.

Navigation Bar Assignment
Towards the end of the school year, students start preparations for a personal website. A key element of that personal website is a navigation bar. The navigation bar can be created in Photoshop or LiveMotion, but in LiveMotion, the buttons of the navigation bar can be animated. In this assignment, students practice animating buttons using rollovers and different states.
